N-(1-(1,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)propyl)-2-methylpropane-2-sulfinamide (Step A5B) (650 mg, 1.8 mmol) was dissolved in 10% HCl in MeOH (5 ml) and the resulting mixture was stirred for 15 h. The mixture was concentrated to give a pale yellow solid, which was recrystallized (MeOH-Ether) to give the title product as a white solid (460 mg, >99% yield). 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 0.76 (3H, t, J=6.0 Hz), 1.70-1.84 (1H, m), 1.89-2.03 (1H, m), 2.23 (3H, s), 3.72 (3H, s), 3.96-4.03 (1H, m), 7.54 (1H, s), 8.35 (3H, brs).
