(R)-3-(4-Chloro-benzylamino)-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butylester (0.690 g, 2.2 mmol) was dissolved in CH2Cl2 with a few drops of isopropanol and trimethylsilylisocyanate (0.365 mL, 2.6 mmol) were added. The solution was allowed to stir at room temperature for 12 h, the reaction was concentrated down and used directly in the next reaction. ESI-MS m/z: 354 (M+1), retention time 2.15.
