Trifluoroacetic acid (20 mL) was added to a solution of [(S)-1-(3-pyridin-2-yl-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-yl)ethyl]carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.10 g, 3.24 mmol) in DCM (10 mL) and stirred for 30 min. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the residue purified by chromatography (SiO2 0-10% (2M ammonia in methanol) in DCM) to give the title compound (0.145 g, 19%). LCMS (method H): Rt 0.26 min, [M+H]+ 240.
