Procedure
1-Bromo-8-methyl-3-(piperidin-4-yl)imidazo[1,5-a]pyrazine (0.169 mmol, 50 mg) was dissolved in dichloromethane (1 ml) and triethylamine (0.337 mmol, 47 μl) and methyl chloroformate (0.186 mmol, 14.40 μl) were added at 0° C. After stirring at room temperature for one hour water and dichloromethane were added. The organic layer was separated, dried (sodium sulfate) and concentrated in vacuo to give methyl 4-(1-bromo-8-methylimidazo[1,5-a]pyrazin-3-yl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (51 mg).
