2-Methoxy-6-(N,N-dimethylamino)benzene boronic acid was coupled with N-(2,6-dichlorobenzoyl)-4-bromo-L-phenylalanine methyl ester to give N-(2,6-dichlorobenzoyl)-4-[2-(N,N-dimethylamino)-6-methoxyphenyl]-L-phenylalanine methyl ester. The preparation of the boronic acid and the coupling reaction was carried out in a similar manner as described in Example 7.
