Reaction Steps
A solution of 5-allyl-6-hydroxy-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)benzofuran (300 mg) in ethyl acetate (2 ml) containing 5% palladium-on-charcoal was hydrogenated for 20 minutes. The mixture was filtered and the filtrate was evaporated to give 6-Hydroxy-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-5-propylbenzofuran.
