A solution of 17-ethyl-1,14-dihydroxy-12-[2'-(4"-azido-3"-methoxycyclohexyl)-1'-methylvinyl]-23,25-dimethoxy-13,19,21,27-tetramethyl-11,28-dioxa-4-azatricyclo[22.3.1.04,9 ]octacos-18-ene-2,3,10,16-tetraone (28 mg) and triphenylphosphine (9 mg) in 1 ml of wet toluene was stirred at 70° C. overnight. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by preparative tlc on silica gel (1000 microns, 1% NH4OH in 5% i-PrOH/CH2Cl2) to give 19 mg of the title compound.
