0.05 mol of trans-4-trifluoromethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid (prepared as in Example 1) is added dropwise to 100 ml of a solution of isobutylmagnesium bromide in ether (1 mol/1) and 0.3 mmol of dichlorobis[π-cyclopentadienyl]titanium at 0° C., and the mixture is stirred at room temperature for 4 hours. 30 ml of a 4 normal hydrochloric acid are added, and customary workup gives the product as a colourless oil.
