(R)-tert-Butyl 3-((R)-(3-methoxypropoxy)(phenyl)methyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (27 mg, 0.074 mmol) was mixed with 4M HCl in 1,4-dioxane (3 mL) and stirred for 30 min at rt. LC-MS showed complete removal of the Boc protecting group. The mixture was concentrated to afford (R)-3-((R)-(3-methoxypropoxy)(phenyl)methyl)piperidine as its HCl salt. This material was used without purification.
