Following the general Suzuki coupling procedure, reaction of bromide 5A (75 mg, 0.25 mmol), 2-methylphenylboronic acid (42 mg, 0.30 mmol), K2CO3 (105 mg, 0.75 mmol) and Pd(PPh3)4 (5.8 mg, 0.005 mmol) provided the coupling product as a white powder (65 mg, 86% yield). EIMS 306.1 [M+H]+.
