4-[2-(4-Aminopiperidin-1-yl)ethyl]-6-fluoro-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-one (Intermediate 54) (0.7 mmol), 3-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrido[3,2-b][1,4]thiazine-6-carbaldehyde (WO 2004/058144) (160 mg, 0.82 mmol) and sodium cyanoborohydride (90 mg, 1.4 mmol) were reacted as described under Example 21, (but the reaction mixture was refluxed overnight before reduction with sodium cyanoborohydride at room temperature for 2 hours) to give 76 mg (23%) of product.
