1-[2-(4-Aminopiperidin-1-yl)ethyl]-7-bromo-1H-pyrido[2,3-b][1,4]oxazin-2(3H)-one (Intermediate 209) (2.0 mmol), (3-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrido[3,2-b][1,4]oxazine-6-carbaldehyde (WO 2004/058144) (356 mg, 2.0 mmol) and sodium cyanoborohydride (496 mg, 4 equiv) were reacted as described under Example 21 to give the product as an off-white solid 420 mg (41% yield).
