Reaction Steps
Using the mixed anhydride coupling procedure of Example with 1-cyclopropylpiperazine and benzyl (2R)-3-carboxy-2-benzylpropionate (Rosenberg et al., EP 307837, 1989) gave the desired product. 1H NMR (CDCl3) 7.10-7.34 (m, 5H), 5.11 (dd, 2H), 3.51 (m, 2H), 3.31 (m, 3H), 3.04 (dd, 1H), 2.74 (m, 2H), 2.52 (m, 3H), 2.35 (dd, 1H), 0.47 (m, 2H), 0.42 (m, 2H).
