Reaction Steps
Starting from the diol of Example 5, Step 1, and using the procedure of Example 1, Method B, Step 7, but substituting the thiol of Step 2 for ethyl 2-(mercaptomethyl)butanoate, the title compound was prepared. Yield: 64%.
