50 parts of p-acetylaminophenylsulfinic acid and 25 parts of sodium hydrogen carbonate are suspended in 300 parts of water. While stirring intensely 36 parts of allyl bromide is dripped in within three hours at 50° to 60° C. Stirring is continued for another four hours at 60° C. 45 parts of p-allylsulfonylacetanilide is obtained with a melting point of 116° to 118° C.
