Reaction Steps
A solution of 10-4 (0.42 g, 1.16 mmoles) in MeOH (6 ml) was treated with 0.17 g 10% Pd/C and this was hydrogenated under 1 atm. of H2 pressure for 48 hours. Solvent removal and purification by flash chromatography on silica gel eluting with 50% EtOAc/hexanes gave pure 10-5. Rf 0.55 (silica, 50% EtOAc/hexanes).
