The reaction mixture of 106.0 mg (0.37 mmol) of 4-chloro-3-ethoxycarbonyl-5,8-difluoroquinoline and 51.5 mg (0.44 mmol) of 3-amino-benzonitrile in 2.0 mL of 2-propanol was refluxed for 2 h and cooled down. The pale yellow precipitate was filtered, washed with cold 2-propanol, and dried in oven at 40° C. overnight to give 65.7 mg (50%) of the title compound.
