The reaction mixture of 270.0 mg of 4-chloro-3-ethoxycarbonyl-6-trifluoromethylquinoline and 150 mL of 3-bromoaniline in 4 mL ethanol was heated at 95° C. for 4 h. The reaction was then cooled in an ice-water bath and addid with 2 mL of 0.5N sodium hydroxide solution. The solid was filtered, washed with cold ethaol-water (2:1) and dried to provide 278.0 mg of the titled compound.
