A mixture of the above-obtained 2-amino-3morpholino-5-bromopyrazine (0.04 mmole), morpholine (0.07 mmole) and 50 ml. of dimethylformamide are heated at 100°-140° C. for about 3 to 5 days in an atmosphere of nitrogen. The reaction mixture is cooled and evaporated to dryness at a water bath temperature of 55° C. A chloroform solution of the residue is extracted twice with 0.1M sodium hydroxide, dried over magnesium sulfate and evaporated to leave 2-amino-3,5-dimorpholinopyrazine.
