Prepared by general procedure III from 4-bromobenzenesulfonyl chloride (9.59 g, 38 mmol) and excess aq. dimethylamine to give the title compound (7.61 g, 77%) as a white crystalline solid. MS (ISP) 266.1[(M+H)+].
