PROCEDURE

2.5 ml of a 4M solution of hydrogen chloride in dioxane are added to a solution of 48 mg (0.060 mmol) of benzyl{2-[((3S)-3-{[(benzyloxy)carbonyl]amino}-6-{[N5-[(benzyloxy)carbonyl]-N2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-L-ornithyl]amino}hexanoyl)amino]ethyl}carbamate (Example 106A) in 1 ml of dioxane at RT. After 4 h at RT, the reaction solution is concentrated in vacuo, coevaporated with dichloromethane several times and dried under high vacuum. The crude product is reacted without further purification.
