In a manner similar to the preparation of the (S)-2-(2-benzoylphenylamino)-3-[3′-(3-heptyl-1-methylureido)biphenyl-4-yl]propionic acid (Example 2), using 0.66 g (1.02 mmol) of ethyl (S)-2-(2-benzoylphenylamino)-3-[3′-(1-methyl-3-naphthalen-2-ylureido)biphenyl-4-yl]propionate and 50 mg (1.19 mmol) of lithium hydroxide, 0.61 g of (S)-2-(2-benzoylphenylamino)-3-[3′-(1-methyl-3-naphthalen-2-ylureido)biphenyl-4-yl]propionic acid is obtained with a 96% yield. Melting point: 125° C.
