8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carboxylic acid, 2-[1-oxo-3-[(2-thienylsulfonyl)amino]propyl hydrazide (30) was prepared from 8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carboxylic acid, 2-(3-amino-1-oxopropyl)hydrazide, monohydrochloride (9), prepared as described above in Example 9, and 2-thiophenesulfonyl chloride in the same manner as described in Example 10 on a 1.9 mmol scale to yield 0.48 g (50%) of product.
