A solution of 3,5-dibromo-4-amino-pyridine 1 (4.0 g, 15.87 mmol), Pd(PPh3)4 (0.91 g, 0.78 mmol) and aqueous solution of Na2CO3 (23.8 ml, 2M ) in toluene (80 ml ) is added to a solution of dichlorobenzene boronic acid (6.23 g, 46.4 mmole) in ethanol (24 ml). The mixture is refluxed for 14 h., diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with saturated NH4Cl solution. The organic layer is dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo.
