Reaction Steps
52.6 g of pent-3-enanilide, 19.2 g of methanol, 4.75 g of pyridine and 2.05 g of Co2 (CO)8 were reacted analogously to Example 1 for 1.5 hours at 170° C. At a pentenanilide conversion of 58.3 mol %, C6 -dicarboxylic acid methylesteranilides were formed at a selectivity S of conversion of 37.5 mol % (11 =65.3%).
