10 g of 2-amino-3-cyano-4-chloroquinoline is heated with 19 g of furfurylamine at 120° C. for 3 hours. The reaction mixture is cooled to 25  C. and mixed 6 times with 50 ml of water. The crystals are filtered off and dried. The resulting product is recrystallized from 60 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide, to obtain 5.8 g of the title compound, m.p.: 206° C.
