Reaction Steps

This compound is obtained according to the procedure described in 2.4 by reacting 4-chloro-6,8-dimethoxy-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)phthalazine described in 2.3 with 4-amino-1-(naphthalen-2-ylmethyl)piperidine. On treatment with hydrochloric ether, a precipitate forms, which is filtered off, washed with ethyl ether and dried under reduced pressure. The hydrochloride obtained is in the form of a white solid.
