The product of step d) was treated with 40% aqueous KOH in EtOH at 105° C. for 16 hours. The reaction was cooled, diluted with CH2Cl2 and passed through an extrelut column to remove the water. The organic layer was concentrated and the residue purified by preparative LC/MS to give the title compound. MS calculated for C10H12ClNS+H 214, observed 214.
