(6-Piperidin-1-ylmethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-naphthalen-2-yl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (Step E) (0.113 g, 0.327 mmol) was suspended in CH2Cl2 (2.5 mL) then TFA was added (2.5 mL). The reaction was stirred at RT until complete consumption of starting material was observed by HPLC analysis (2 h). The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to afford the crude title compound as the bis-TFA salt, which was used without further purification. MS (APCI pos) 245 (M+H).
