Using alkylation method B, 3-chloro-N-[1-(2-fluoro-phenyl)-2-(piperidin-4-ylmethoxy)ethyl]-1H-indole-6-carboxamide (250 mg, 0.58 mmol) and paraformaldehyde (174 mg, 5.8 mmol) afforded, after purification (SiO2: 10:2:2:1 DCM:EtOAc:hexane:isopropylamine), 160 mg (63%) of the title compound.
