From 3.48 g of 2-(pyrrolidin-1-ylmethyl)piperidine dihydrochloride, 4.44 g of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-4-oxo-1-naphthoyl chloride and 63.9 ml of 1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. 4.17 g of the title compound was obtained, melting at 239°-242° C. (dec). using a procedure similar to that in Example 1.
