Reaction Steps

Using the procedure of Example XXXV, 18.7 g (0.04 mole) of 2-trifluoromethyl-10-[3-(4-β-hydroxyethoxy-piperidino)-propyl]-phenothiazine (prepared in Example XXIII) and 9.2 g (0.04 mole) of 3,4,5-trimethoxy-benzoyl chloride were reacted to obtain 8.5 g (33% yield) of 2-trifluoromethyl-10-[ 3{ 4-[2-(3,4,5-trimethoxy-benzoyloxy)-ethoxy]-piperidino}-propyl]-phenothiazine as a clear amber oil
