Using a procedure similar to Example 4, step (a), a solution of 1-(5-fluoro-2-nitro-phenyl)-piperidine (98 mg, 0.43 mmol, as prepared in Example 5, step (a)), pyrazole (67.8 mg, 0.600 mmol), and NaOH (22.4 mg, 0.560 mmol) were heated in 3 mL of DMSO overnight to afford 100 mg (85%) the title compound as a yellow solid. Mass spectrum (ESI, m/z): Calcd. for C14H16N4O2, 273.1 (M+H), found 273.1.
