Procedure
5.2 ml of trifluoroacetic acid were added, whilst ice-cooling, to a mixture of 363 mg of methyl 4-mercaptobenzoate and 334 mg of 1-[2-hydroxy-2-(2-methoxyphenyl)propyl]imidazole, and the resulting mixture was stirred at 0°-5° C. for 2.5 hours. The reaction mixture was then treated and purified by the same method as described in Example 13, to give 482 mg of the title compound as a colorless oily substance.
Workup
- additionThe reaction mixture was then treated
- custompurified by the same method
