In 20 ml of anhydrous ether was dissolved 1.0 g of dl-5-chloro-6-ethyl-4-[α-ethyl-4-(4-fluorophenoxy)benzyl]aminopyrimidine obtained in Example 2 and the dried hydrochloric acid gas was blown into the mixture. Ether was removed from the separated oily product, and the product obtained was washed with n-hexane to give 1.0 g of the desired product as a colorless viscous product.
