To a solution of tert-butyl 4-(2-(1-oxo-3-phenyl-2-(pyridin-3-yl)-1H-inden-6-yloxy)ethyl)piperazine-1-carboxylate (0.38 mmol, 200 mg) obtained in Step 2 of Example 44 in CH2Cl2 (0.3M) was added TFA (20 eq). The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 40 min and diluted with CH2Cl2. The solution was basicified to pH 9 by the addition of 3N NaOH. The mixture was washed with H2O, dried over MgSO4, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (acetone/hexanes=1:1) to obtain the title compound (75%).
