To a solution of t-Butyl 4-(2-(2-bromo-3-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-1-oxo-1H-inden-6-yloxy)ethyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (700 mg, 1.4 mmol) obtained in Step 1 in CH2Cl2 was added TFA (20 eq, 27 mmol). The solution was stirred for 1 h at room temperature and diluted with CH2Cl2. The mixture was basicified to with 3N aq. NaOH. The organic layer was washed with H2O and brine, dried over MgSO4, and concentrated to obtain the title compound (99%).
