Participants
| Role | Name | HCID | Charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reactant | Trifluoroacetic acid methylene chloride | HCID 21863450 | — |
| Reactant | Ethyl 1-Boc-4-ethyl-4-piperidine carboxylate | HCID 53393415 | — |
| Product | 4-Ethoxycarbonyl-4-ethylpiperidine trifluoroacetate | HCID 66988009 | 73% |
Reaction Steps
183 mg (0.64 mmol) of tert-butyl 4-ethyl-4-ethoxycarbonylpiperidine-1-carboxylate are diluted in 4 mL of an 8/2 dichloromethane/trifluoroacetic acid mixture. The solution is stirred at room temperature for 1 hour and the solvents are then evaporated off. 140 mg of 4-ethoxycarbonyl-4-ethylpiperidine trifluoroacetate in the form of an oil are obtained in a yield of 73%.
