368 mg of (R)—N-{1-(benzylamino)propan-2-yl}isoquinoline-6-sulfonamide was dissolved in 2 mL of dichloromethane. To the solution, 3 mL of a 1 M hydrochloric acid-diethyl ether solution was added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hours. The deposited crystal was collected using a Kiriyama funnel and dried under reduced pressure at 60° C. to obtain 360 mg of the title compound as a white solid (84%).
