Procedure
1.786 g (35.7 mmol) of hydrazine hydrate is added under argon to a solution of 784 mg (2.38 mmol) of N-(6-chloro-5-cyanopyridin-3-yl)-3,5-difluorobenzene-sulfonamide in 6 mL of ethanol. The solution is heated to 100° C. for 20 hours and then cooled to room temperature. The solvent is evaporated to yield 810 mg of N-(3-amino-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin-5-yl)-3,5-difluorobenzene-sulfonamide (100%) which is used without further purification in the following steps.
