The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 191(D), from 2-(chloromethyl)-4,6-difluoro-1-methyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole (440 mg, 2.03 mmol) and trimethyl(prop-1-ynyl)silane (274 mg, 2.44 mmol). 4,6-difluoro-1-methyl-2-(4-(trimethylsilyl)but-3-ynyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazole (539 mg, Yield: 91%) was obtained as a brown oil which can be used in the next step without any purification.
