Ammonia, as a 2 M solution in iPrOH (15 mL, 30.0 mmol), was added to ethyl 2,2-difluoro-3-(9-hydroxy-2-(neopentyloxy)-7-(pyrimidin-5-yl)-9H-xanthen-9-yl)propanoate (0.100 g, 0.201 mmol) at room temperature. After 30 minutes of stirring at RT the solution was concentrated to afford 2,2-difluoro-3-(9-hydroxy-2-(neopentyloxy)-7-(pyrimidin-5-yl)-9H-xanthen-9-yl)propanamide. M=470.3 [M+H].
