A solution of (4-isopropyl-piperazin-1-yl)-(5-piperidin-1-ylmethyl-furan-2-yl)-methanone (Example 1, 1 equiv.) and Lawesson's reagent (2.1 equiv.) in THF is heated at reflux (70° C.) for 48 h. The reaction is cooled to room temperature and the solvent is removed in vacuo. Chromatography of the residue on a silica gel column using 1-6% 2 M NH3 in MeOH/DCM) provides the title compound.
