The reaction and aftertreatment were conducted in the same manner as in Example 8a by using 1-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole (5.50 g, 36.1 mmol), n-butyl lithium (1.63 M solution in hexane; 24 mL, 39.1 mmol), cyclohexene oxide (3.80 g, 38.7 mmol) and THF (100 mL), to yield the title compound (270 mg, 3.0%) in the form of a diastereomeric mixture as a colorless oil.
