N,N-carbonyldiimidazole (1.62 g, 10 mmol), 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl amine (1.97 g, 10 mmol), p-aminobenzoic acid (1.52 g, 10 mmol), and 10 ml of 1 mol/L sodium hydroxide are used according to the method for the production of compound III in Method two to obtain 3.54 g of 4-[(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzylureido)methyl]benzoic acid (intermediate M-35) as a white solid, with a yield of 94.6%.
