Procedure

To a solution of tert-butyl 6-hydroxy-3-(((R)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-1-yl)carbamoyl)-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline-2(1H)-carboxylate (875 mg, 2.07 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (10.4 mL) was added TFA (2.4 mL, 31.1 mmol). The resulting solution was stirred at room temperature for 2 h and then quenched with sat. NaHCO3. The aqueous layer was extracted with CH2Cl2 (3×). The combined organic extracts were dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound (340 mg, 51%) as pale yellow solid. MS (ESI+) m/z 323.2 (M+H)+.
