PROCEDURE
实验过程
The following describes the preparation of a 10 mM stock solution of Cu(phenanthroline)2SO4. To a 100 mL of distilled water, in an Erlenmeyer flask, was added 162 mg (1.0 mmol) of anhydrous copper sulfate (Aldrich Chemical Company, Inc., Milwaukee, Wis.). The solid immediately caked into pale blue chunks on the bottom of the Erlenmeyer flask. Upon swirling of the Erlenmeyer flask, these pale blue chunks slowly dissolved. To this solution was added 399 mg (2.0 mmol) of 1,10-phenanthroline hydrate (Aldrich Chemical Company, Inc. supra.). At this point, there were needles of phenanthroline floating atop the aqueous suspension. These needles of phenanthroline were dissolved by sonication for 5 minute in a Branson M2200 sonicator. The resulting solution was an aquamarine blue, 10 mM solution of Cu(phenanthroline)2SO4. Using a Beckman DU70 spectrophotometer, the A720 of this solution was found to be 0.61 O.D.
