A solution of 4-{2-[3-(1-tert-butoxycarbonylmethyl-piperidin-4-yl)-1H-indazol-6-yl]-(E)-vinyl}-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.202 g, 0.385 mmol) in trifluoroacetic acid (5 ml) was stirred at 23° for 3 h. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo and the residue was triturated with ether to give the title compound as an off-white solid (0.228 g, 97%)
