A solution of 4-{2-[3-(1-tert-butoxycarbonylmethyl-piperidin-4-yl)-1-(4-chloro-benzyl)-1H-indazol-6-yl]-(E)-vinyl}-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.152 g, 0.234 mmol) in trifluoroacetic acid (4 ml) was stirred at 23° for 3 h. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the residue was triturated with ether to give the title compound as an ivory solid (0.148 g, 86%).
