The title compound was prepared by the procedure described in Example 18 using 17.5 g of indan-5-yl-isothiocyanate, 21.2 g of N-isopropyl glycine, 21.0 g of triethyl amine, and 300 mL of chloroform. Crystallization from ethanol afforded the title compound (9.9 g) as a white solid, m.p. 178°-180° C. Anal. Calcd. for. C15H18N2OS: C, 56.66; H, 6.61; N, 10.21. Found: C, 56.70; H, 6.67; N, 10.22. Mass spectrum (EI, M.+) m/z 274.
